Holokost Anma Töreni bu sene Ankara'da

27 Ocak, İkinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında kurulan en büyük toplama ve ölüm kampı olan Auschwitz- Birkenau'nun kurtuluş günü olarak kayıtlara geçti. İnsanlık tarihinin en utanç verici trajedilerinden biri olan Holokost'ta (Yahudi Soykırımı) 6 milyon kişi hayatını yitirdi


Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) Genel Kurulu, Türkiye dâhil 104 ülkenin oybirliği neticesinde 2005 yılında aldığı bir kararla 27 Ocak gününü Nazi kurbanlarının anılmasına adayarak Uluslararası Holokost Anma günü ilan etti. BM üyesi her ülkenin Holokost kurbanlarını anması ve ülkesinde Holokost ile ilgili eğitici programlar geliştirmesi bekleniyor.
Bu kararla amaçlanan, her ülkenin ‘gelecek soykırımları’ önleyecek bilinci toplumlarında yaratmasını sağlamak. Bu bilince sahip ülkelerin Holokost inkârcılığını kabul etmeyip din ile etnik farklılıklara dayalı ayırımcılık ve şiddeti kınaması beklenmekte. Türkiye, bu günü dünyanın birçok ülkesiyle birlikte dört yıldır anmakta. Dışişleri Bakanlığı himayesinde ve Türk Yahudi Cemaati desteğiyle gerçekleşen anma törenlerinin ilk üçü İstanbul’da bulunan Neve Şalom Sinagogu ve Etz Ahayim Sinagogu’nda düzenlenirken, geçtiğimiz sene ilk kez Yahudi mekânlarından çıkıp Kadir Has Üniversitesi salonlarına taşındı.

Dışişleri Bakan Yardımcısı Büyükelçi Naci Koru, Türkiye Hahambaşısı Rav İsak Haleva, Uluslararası Holokost Anma İttifakı Türk Heyeti Başkanı Büyükelçi Ertan Tezgör, Türk Yahudi Cemaati Başkanı İshak İbrahimzadeh’ın hazır bulunduğu geçen seneki törene siyasetçiler, akademisyenler ve Yahudi cemaati üyeleri de katıldı. Fotoğraf sergisi, müzik resitali ve günün önemini anlatan konuşmaların ardından törenHolokost kurbanları anısına mum yakılması ile sonlandı.
Bu sene, 27 Ocak Salı günü beşincisi düzenlenecek olan Uluslararası Holokost Anma töreni İstanbul yerine Ankara’da Bilkent Üniversitesi’nde gerçekleşecek. Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi Başkanı Cemil Çiçek’in de hazır bulunacağı tören, Dışişleri Bakanlığı himayesinde Türk Yahudi Cemaati’nin desteği ile düzenleniyor.
Bu seneki tören, ilk kez Türkiye Cumhuriyeti devleti bu kadar üst bir makam tarafından temsil edileceği için büyük önem taşıyor.

Panorama Asks: The NATO Summit in Ankara

On 7-8 July 2026, NATO’s heads of state and government met in Ankara for the Alliance’s 36th summit. It was the second time Türkiye has hosted this gathering since Istanbul in 2004.
