Cem Habib  We talked about how the peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates affected the Jewish life in the Emirates, with the investment manager Cem Habib, who has been living in Dubai since 2016, and who is one of the founding members of the Jewish Council of Emirates (JCE), the first officially recognized Jewish community of the UAE. How long have you been living in Dubai? What influenced you in deciding to live here? I moved to Dubai in 2016, before I had been living in London. My customer base at that time was in Kazakhstan and it had gotten harder commuting there from London every month after 6 years. There were three direct flights between Dubai and Kazakhstan, every day, with a flight time of less than 4 hours. Cuma günü üç farklı kıtada gerçekleştirilen üç farklı terör saldırısı ile sarsıldık. Önce Avrupa’nın göbeğinde, Fransa’nın Lyon kentinde bir kişi arabasıyla fabrikaya girdi. Amacı büyük bir patlama ile fabrikayı yerle bir etmekti. Bunu başaramadı ama eski patronunun kesilmiş başı çitlere asılı bulundu. Yanında (IŞ)İD’in kara bayrağı vardı. Hemen sonra Kuveyt’in başkentindeki bir Şii camine, İmam Sadık Camii’ne intihar saldırısı yapıldığı haberi geldi. Gözler (IŞ)İD’e çevrildi. Geçtiğimiz ay Suudi Arabistan’daki Şii camilerine yine mübarek cuma günü saldırı düzenlemişti. 27 kişinin hayatını kaybettiği, 200’den fazla kişinin yaralandığı bu saldırıyı da üstlenmekte gecikmedi. Hemen ardından Kuzey Afrika’da, Tunus’un turizm cenneti Susa’dan korkunç haber geldi. Silahını bir şemsiyenin içine gizleyen saldırgan, plajda rastgele açtığı ateşle çoğunluğu İngiliz, Belçikalı ve Alman olan tatilcileri hedef almıştı. 39 kişi hayatını kaybetti, 36 kişi yaralandı.
