Emek Sineması’nın mimarını hatırlamak

Atillâ Dorsay, Emek Sineması ve Beyoğlu hakkında yazdığı son kitabında Şalom yazarı Karel Valansi’nin Emek Sineması’nın mimarı ile ilgili söyleşisine de yer verdi.


Önemli sinema yazarı Atillâ Dorsay’ın Emek Sineması ve Beyoğlu’nun geçirdiği çarpıcı değişimi anlattığı yeni kitabı ‘Emek Yoksa Ben de Yokum! Bir Kültür Semtinin Çöküşü’ Kırmızıkedi Yayınevi tarafından yayınlandı. Beyoğlu’nun sinemaları başta olmak üzere semtin tarihini ve geçirdiği değişimleri anlatan Dorsay, kitabında Şalom yazarı Karel Valansi’nin Emek Sineması’nın mimarı Rafael Alguadiş ile ilgili oğlu Jak Alguadiş ile yaptığı söyleşisine de yer verdi.
Dorsay kitabında şöyle anlatıyor:
“Emek olayını inatla gündemde tuttuğumuz günlerde, bir hanımefendi beni ısrarla aradı. Sinemanın mimarının yakını olduğunu söyledi ve kendisinde binanın mimarından kalan belgeler olduğunu, istersem verebileceğini söyledi. İyi not etmemişim, adını da telefonunu da kaybettim. Ve ona ulaşma imkânım olmadı.
Ama başka bir şey oldu. Ülkemizdeki Musevi kültürünün tanınmış haftalık gazetesi Şalom, ekim ayında mimar Rafael Alguadiş’in oğlu Jak Alguadiş’le bir konuşma yaparak onu andı ve tanıttı. Ben bu konuşmayı burada olduğu gibi vermek istiyorum. Çünkü hem Emekseverler için ilginç bir belgedir hem de ülkemizde azınlıkların birçok şeyde -bu arada mimaride- yaptıkları öncülüğü ve verdikleri eserleri aydınlatmaktadır.
Ayrıca o güzelim Emek –ve planlarını yaptığı salonlardan hiçbiri- artık yok ama en azından mimarının anıldığını ve adına Nişantaşı’ndaki en güzel eserlerinden birine bir plaket konduğunu bilmenin, günümüzün vefasızlığından ve balık hafızalı toplum niteliğinden gına getirenlere iyi geleceğini düşünüyorum. Panorama Asks: The NATO Summit in Ankara

On 7-8 July 2026, NATO’s heads of state and government met in Ankara for the Alliance’s 36th summit. It was the second time Türkiye has hosted this gathering since Istanbul in 2004.
